“THE FIRE CAT”—SATURDAY.
Edith Roberts was never more lovably fascinating than she is in “The Fire Cat,” due at the local theatre on Saturday, her latest Universal photodrama. Norman Dawn wrote “The lire Cat” especially for Edith Roberts and he directed the screen lassie in the production. As Dulce Alverez, the star appears first as a care-free girl living in contentment, if not in luxury, with her mother in their mountain home. r lhe girl leaves to forage for game in the hills. l Upon her return she. discovers that her mother had been murdered by a renegade American outlaw who is seeking sanctuary in the sin-sodden mining town of Purisima in the volley of the Andes. For vengeance Dulce goes to the town as a dancing girl and by her beauty seeks to iure, the murderer to his death. Her plan is diverted when the earth shudders under the lash of a volcanic eruptoin and the town of Purisima is cleansed of its sins in a baptism of scalding lava.
