LODGE MANGAIiAO CONSECRATED

A very large and-representative assemblage of Masons gathered in Shannon on Monday afternoon and evening to inaugurate Lodge Mangahao, 'No. 231. Brethren were present from many lodges in the# Wellington and Ruapehu districts, and the ceremonies of constitution, consecration and dedication, performed 'by M.W. Bro. Thomas Ross, Grand Master, assist- ' ed by Grand Lodge officers, ..were watched with great interest. The installation followed, and was conducted by R.W. Bro. G. Russell? ' P.G.M., of the Wellington District, assisted by a number of Grand Lodge officers. Worshipful Brother W. McKegg was duly installed as Master, and his officers were invested as follow: S.W., Bro. T. Cooper, jun.; J.W., Bro. G. E. Murphy; chaplain, Bvo. Rev. A. F. Stewart; treasurer, Bro. - .]. W. Murray; secretary, Bro. J. H. Farglier; director' of ceremonies, W. Bro. J. Ross, P.M.; S.D., B.ro. C. H. Spiers; J.D., Bro. E. J. S. Spencer; organist, Bro. Sidney Hall; 1.G., Bro. R. J. Law; S.S., Bro. G. Macfariane; v J.S., Bro. J. N. T. Cherry; tyler, Bro. W. N. Brown; acting 1.P.M., Bro. W. Renton. The visiting brethren were afterwards entertained at a banquet, held in the Druids’ Hall, the proceedings terminatirfg at midnight. >
