DISCLOSED BY COUNTY COUNCIL At Saturday's meeting of the More whenua. County Council, Cr. Whyte colled attention to a culvert on the Albeit Road that required repairing He reported,-*''also, that since metalling had been done on the Jokomaru .Shannon Load the portion attended to was. in good order. The remainder was very rough. Mr It. I\l. Lange,'of Shannon, cum plained of the condition of the top end of Knikinau Road, to which he had previously called the Council's attention. About hall a mile required metalling, and he hoped Unit the work would be put in hand helm e the winter, as passage across this area in a vehicle was fraught with danger. He had already broken a -spring in his vehicle, and on one occasion cans of cream containing two days' supply were upset. He looked forward to having to pack material across the area if .condiiibns were not mended. —The Engineer said the road was not as had as the letter suggested. He .had driven a motorcar across the area complained- cf. The chairman: But you had no cream on hoard.
