STOP-WORK MEETING IN PALMERSXON. At a stop-work meeting held in Palmerston on Wednesday by ( he flax workers .to consider the reduction in wages, a deputation was elected to wait on the mill owners.

It is reported that the men are willing to accept 5 per cent reduction in the meantime with the other 5 per ment later on when the cost of living has further dropped. v It is hoped that an agreement willbe reached which will be satisfactory to both parties, and that the mills will be kept running.
