The above clubs met in their match on the Domain on Saturday. Y.M.C.A. won the toss and sent Weraroa in, but the start was disastrous. Three of the best Weraroa wickets fell for nine runs, and the score-sheet showed only 22 with six wickets down. The tail then began to wag to some purpose, and steady batting by Hall (1G), Thomas (19 not out), Sloan (13) and Harding (12) raised the total to 81. The tenth wicket stand between i liomas and Harding put on 28 before Fletcher found the latter’s . stump. Willi the loss of three wickets lor 22, Y.M.C.A. looked like putting up a good tight, but the remaining batsmen tailed to get very lar against the bowling of Pringle and Sloan, who disposed of the side lor 45, F. Hudson (9) and Auckram (8) being the top scorers. Weraroa went to the wickets a second time, and at the drawing of stumps had lost eight wickets for 99. Weraroa won by 39 runs on the first innings.
