SNOWY- BAKER PICTURE TO-NIGHT ' V « The standard of Australian photoplay achieved., by the Carroll firm has been more than - maintained in Wilfred Lucas’ latest production dealing with the life of a new chum “The Jackeroo of Coolabong,” which is to be screened to-night at the Maoriland Theatre. “Snowy” Baker plays the name part, in which, character it is claimed he excels anything'previously attempted by him. The settings are beautiful, the gum trees, ferns, and the dense scrub of the Australian bushland lend refreshing enchantment. In conjunction with ‘The Jackeroo” will be screened another Australian comedy entitled “Cows and Cuddles.” in which Tal Ordell is seen as a comedy cow spanker. Mr Rowe will sing “An Old-fashioned Sweetheart of Mine.” SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME. A special series has been arranged for Saturday night, and patrons will find their entertainment well;, catered for by the programme submitted. “YELLOW TYPHOON” MONDAY. “The Yellow Typhoon,” which heads Monday’s bill, is recommended especially for-, adult audiences. It tells the dramatic story of two twin sisters, one of whom leads a life that is one gay round of selfish pleasure.
