Cr. G. A. Monk, chairman of the Horowhenua County Council, stated at Saturday’s meeting that he regretted .to have to say it, but during the next few months the main roads would woulti have to do with very lidle expenditure, as the Council did not have the money to spend upon them. A meeting would be held alter the holidays to- go into the financial position of the Council.
