TUG-OF-WAR CHALLENGE.
(To the Editor.) Sir-Relative to the challenge issued on behalf of No. 2 Miranui team, this is immensely ludicrous. Miranui were given the decision by the committee. Many of the public are convinced from what they saw that Koputaroa won-won by a good margin. I have little doubt that if the challenger extended his time to, say, the week preceding Christmas, he would wi 11ingly be accepted by probably both teams.-! am, etc.,
