THE SHEARERS’ AWARD.
As some flock-owners have apparently found some difftculy in correctly interpreting the terms -oi the shearers" a\Vard as to exact rates of pay, the 'following is published for their information: — Shearers.—24s nett per 100 -for all sheep shorn (except studs and rams, 'which are special rates). At the conclusion of shearing add Is 9d per day for each day on which shearer has worked. Pressers.—By tiie week, £3 6s 5d nett-per week. By the hour Is Did nett per hour. Other shed hands—By the week £3 2s sd ; nett per week. By the hour is BJd nett per hour. Youths (16 to 18).—By the week £,2 4s lOd nett per week. By the hotii ; Is 3£d nett per hour. Cooks (up to 12 men). —£3 14s 5d nett per hour. ✓ Cooks (over 12 men).—By arrangement. Cooks’ assistants.—£3 6s 5d nett per week. >
