TESTING AT KUKU.

’ ; . ' . ~ , V CHAIRMAN OF DIRECTORS’ ADVICE

?s kt the last meeting of directory 01 the Kuku Dairy Company, the Chairman (Mr J. D. Brown) referred to the benefits of testing and said he was surprised that only 14 out of 65 suppliers tested their herds last season. He poi.ited out that it was only by testing that a dairyman knew whether all his cows were paying their way or not, and if he did not do so he was going very much on the blind. As a result of last season’s testing he mentioned that over a dozen cows had been culled from one herd and replaced by better animals and the farmer would reap the benefit during the coming season. He hoped that with the new season at hand there would be a largely increased list of testers among the Kuku suppliers this year.
