POINTS FOR “REVEILLE."
(To the Editor.) Sir,—lt. appears as though the correspondent, who signs himself “Reveille” is one of those clever oeople who can always tell others what they should do, but at the same time accomplish nothing themselves. Tf “Reveille” is such a brainy man, it. seems a pity that he is not a member of the Borough Council, and perhaps then he would advise them how to take away the rights of individuals and force them to let their houses. I am not a member of the Council, but I know enough ahonf its business to state that it. is impossible for them to do more at present than they are doing, and as for calling the streets “bridle tracks," they are In better
order to-day than they have ever been in the history of Shannon. Perhaps Reveille Avould like the Borough to get so heavily into debt that its rate Avould be 6d in £l. I hope an abler pen than mine will take this matter up and explain the position of the Council more fully.— l am, etc., ONE WHO KNOWS.
