CANON BARNES SCEPTICAL. London, August 2. That Genesis, the narritive of the creation, was not accurate and could not harmonise with modem scientific conclusions, was the statement in a remarkable speech by Canon Barnes, at Oxford, dealing with religion and science. He stated that, he could not accept the Bible as infallible. It was a collection of books of varying authorship, date and value.
