The following is the rainfall for the last few days, taken from observations in Shannon, by Mr J. H. Sinclair, on a Government rain-guage-. July 30. 0.33 in July 31 0.17 in August 1 Q.B4in August 21.35 in August 3 0.45 in August- 4 (i) a.m. to 6 p.m.) 1.30 in Total " 4.45 in It may be of interest to some to know the monthly raipfall for the present year. It is as follows: January 1.71 in February 1.34 in March 1,85 in April 1.72 in May 2.66 in June 2.94 in July 5.87 in The total for last year was 43.38 in.
