MAORILAND THEATRE.
O. Henry’s brilliant short stories lend themselves to reproduction on the screen with peculiar readiness, and none more so than the selection for Wednesday night, “Alias, Jimmie Valentine.” It has been done in the Metro producers’ best style, with Bert Lyttel as the star artist, and is full of . thrilling situations. As one of the best types of American crook plays, it should attract a large audience. A full program of comedies and topicals support the matin feature. “SILKS AND SADDLES.” Australia’s thoroughbred s picture, “Silks and Saddles,” is scheduled for Friday night. It has held huge audiences spell-bound throughout the Commonwealtfi and Dominion. The great race scene is the most exciting and eralistic equine struggle ever depicted on the screen. The Shannon public should" not- miss this chance of seeing the greatest, sporting picture of the year.
