COUNCIL SETTING A TRAP. At Saturday’s meeting of the Horowhenua County Council, the ranger (Mr G. Watson) referred to the' number of motorists who travelled at night without lights, which was contrary .to the by-laws. He considered that the Council should take action and put a stop to the practice. He had seen a.s many as five motor cyclists passing one night lately without lights. He suggested that if the Council paid him a percentage of the fines inflicted oh by-law breaches he would employ a man to assist him to ddtect these offenders.. .
