LEVIN STOCK, MARKET.
A SMALL SALE. Tuesday’s sale was a small one in all departments, ; though the entries forward fully met requirements. Prices on the whole were about equal to those of. the previous week, fat wethers making up to 19s 6d and 21s, and fat lambs to 16s 9d. There was, a good inquiry for good, sound breeding ewes, a line in lamb to Southdown rams bringing 20s 4d. A splendid consignment of prime cattle were entered from the Foxton district, but the bidding failed to reach the reserve, and they were passed. The remainder of the cattle were only a moderate lot. The dairy entry comprised about a dozen cows of medium quality, the

Cattle.—Fat cows and ’ forward cowTT £5 ss, £6 to £7 Is, forward £5 6s, store cows 28s, twelve months heifers £2 6s, heifers at drop £8 to £l2 10s, spring-calving cows £4 ss, £5 15s, £8 and £lO. Vealers realised from 20s to 34s and. 50s.
Sheep.—Fat wethers 19s 6d to 21s, fat lambs 16s <9d,- smalL lambs 18s 4d, sound-mouth ewes in lamb to Southdown rams 20s 4dl ■ : Pigs.—Weamers 15s, 16s to 17s 6d, stores 255, ;30s, 33s and 375, porkers £2 15s to £3 5s and £3 15s.
