BEAUTIFYING SHANNON.

WORK TO BE COMMENCED. At the conclusion of the ordinary business of the Borough Council on Friday evening, the combined committees met to consider the improvement of Plimmer Terrace. Cr. Hyde was in the chair. After a general discussion it was decided that the portion of Plimmer Terrace from the railway gates at the rear of the railway station to the gate opposite Mrs Aldersey’s be ploughed and fenced. Crs. Gardener, Butt and Murray offered to clear the rough grass off prior to the ploughing, arid Cr. Richardson and. Mr J. Breshener promised to do the ploughing. It. is the intention to erect suitable fencing with turnstiles to admit to the enclosure at eifher end, also, to recommend that the Borough Council kerb the frontage on Plimmer Terrace.
