WEDDING BELLS.
WILKINSON—BOYD. A wedding ol interest to Shannon took place in All Saints’ Church, Elierslie, Auckland, on Wednesday, June 15, when Miss Myrtle Boyd, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Boyd, ol Ellerslie, and niece ol Mr and Mrs A. L. Hyde, ol Shannon, was married to Mr George Wilkinson, oi Shannon. The church was crowded with friends of the parties, including several from Shannon. The bride, who was charmingly attired, was attended by her two sisters as bridesmaids, and Mr A. Boyd, brother oi the bride, was best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony, a company oi 93, all relatives ol the happy couple, were entertained at breakfast at the residence ol the bride’s parents, when the usual toasts were honoured. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients oi numerous congratulations, and left for Rotorua amidst showers ol good wishes for their honeymoon. Mr and Mrs Wilkinson will make their home in Shannon. The bride wore creme crepe de chine, hand embroidered, with silk veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid's dress was pinl\ crepe de chine, with pejai’l trimming, and black hat lined with pink. The bride was thP recipient of many handsome presents, including some substantial cheques. The bride’s travelling dress was a tailored navy costume, with . hat to match. A wedding of local interest took place in Shannon on Wednesday, when Miss Maud Kilmister, daughter ol Mr and Mrs Jas. Kilmister, ol Easl Hoad, Shannon, was united m wedlock it.o Mr George Keenan, oi Shannon. Mr and Mrs Keenan left for Auckland yesterday on their wedding trip.
