In the Hunt Club Steeple at Napier Park, Signysian was first past the post, but. on account of interference with Merryowen in the straight, tire positions were reversed. W. R. Kimball scored two wins and a second at the Napier Park meeting. Mill o’ Gowrie and Rebuff AVon their races, and Lord Nagar ran a second. The Daimevirke Hunt CJub meeting will be held on Wednesday Aveek. The lo'caily-irained Lord Desmond will be a starter in the Maiden at Dannevirke next week, and Avill be ridden by C. Stratton. Hyginas (Hyinettus—Paeon) lias proved himself more than a useful sort over the small sticks this season. Gold Problem and Utmvai arc-nomi-nated in both Open and Hack Hurdles at Hawke’s Bay. Admiral Codringlon should have a say in the Heretaunga Handicap of six- and a-hulf furlongs at Hawke’s Bay this week.
