REP. TEAM.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—ln reading the team in your issue of to-day which is to represent Horowhenua against Manawatu' at Shannon on next, I was sorry to see the omission of the name of R. Ford of the Wanderers. In such a match .especially with the approaching advent of the Springboks, we loolt for a good showing against the visitors from Palmerston North. It is a pity if any business' arrangements prevent Mr Ford from playing, as Horowhenua can ill spare so versatile an exponent of the Rugby code, and his presence' behind the scrum will be sadly missed.—l am, etc., f LOVER OF FOOTBALL.
