The meeting convened by the Mayor, held last night, lo take into consideration matters ■relating to the harbour was largely attended. A resolution was paused appointing a provisional committee for the purpose of raising funds to be devoted to the permanent protection of New Plymouth breakwater, and that the committee call a meeting of auhocribera for tho purpose of appointing a permanent committee for taking control and disposal of such funds and tho making of such arrangements in connection therewith.
