DUNEDIN AUTUMN MEETING. DUNEDIN, Feb. 25. The Dunedin Jockey Club were again fortunate in having splendid weather for the lost day of the autumn meeting. The attendance was good, and the races interesting. The handioapper again succeeded in hiding the winners, as shown by the dividends continuing large. There was again a drop in the investments on the machine. The total for the day was £8395, and for the meeting £24,690, as against £28,462 last year. The following concludes the races Feting Handicap, of 100 eova; 3 mile. Mr Butler’s Au Eevoir, 6st 121 b (Ayers) 1 Mr Allen’s Saracen, Bst 31b (Buddicombe) 2 Mr Goodman’s Paramu, 7st 71b (King) 3 Lady Zetland Bst 7ib, Huguenot Bat 21b, Warrington 7st 91b, Wyvern 7st 51b, Frivolty 7st 31b, Beflection 7st 31b, also went to the post. There was a bad start, Huguenot being turned the wrong wayjand never going a yard, while Frivolity was a dozen lengths behind the others. Saracen led until the straight when Au Bevoir collared him, and coming on won a good race by more than a length. Time —Imin 44gec. Dividends—£7 12s and £9 19s.
