Bowling.

(By Telkgba-ph.) OHEIBTOHUEOH, Feb. 24. A special genera! meeting of the Christohuroh Bowling Club held to-night unanimously resolved to withdraw from the New Zealand Bowling Association. An amendment to postpone consideration of the question for three months was supported only by the proposer .and sec mder, who ultimately voted for the resolution. Strong arguments were given for the proposed withdrawal, the principal one being that members of clubs where a tournament is to be held are restricted in play. In order to have the greens in thorough order they are not allowed to play on their own green during the tournament, which also injures the greens for subsequent play. The meeting decided to revert to the farmer practice of playing friendly inter-club matches in different towns as arranged.
