AUSTRALIAN FLOODS.
(Bz Tbibseaph.) OSBISTOHUEOH, Fbb. 20. The Queensland relief fund is gradually swelling in all directions. Tiie mayor’s fund now reaches £BB. Several of the Friendly Societies are also contributing. The Christchurch Working Men’s Club to night voted £2O and opened a subscription list for its members. All the proceeds are to be sent in best dour. Active preparations are being made for a monster performance in the theatre on Thursday. Mr Worthington lectures on American meu and women on Wednesday; there will be a united band performance on Friday, and many other minor events all in aid of the fund. The executive meets each day at 11 o’clock, and canvassing is going on apace. OAMABTJ, Feb. SO. At a meeting of the Brisbane Belief Committee to-day, it was stated that £222 was collected with more lists to oome in. It was decided to cable £175 at once.
