Grain. Wheat (shipping) is quoted at 4s Bd, with a downward tendency ; malting barley is stea iy at 3s 9d to 4s; New Zealand oats continue weak; feeding sorts are worth from 3s 9d to 4s; and milling ditto, from 4s to 4s 2d. (Received Dec. 28, 1882* 1.15 a.mi) , ShipwreckSydney, Dec. 27. Telegrams are to hand from Clarence River heads reporting that the screw steamer New England, 360 tons, struck on the bar at the entrance to the river and has become a total wreck. The majority of the passengers and crew were safely landed. Some were left clinging to the wreck, which was in a critical position, and like to break up. The sea is rising on the bar.
