THIS DAT. (Per Press Association.) The Tambour Major. Wellington, Dec. 27. Thero was an immense attendance at the Theatre Koyal last night, to witness the second representation of “Tambour Major." Hundreds were unable to secure admission. ; Festivities. The Foresters fete was well attended during the day, and wound up by a torchlight procession at night. CricketNelson, Dec 27. The , cricket match, Marlborough v. Nelson, was won easily by the latter on ; the first innings, in which they made 224, and Mailboroiigh only 54. The weather was wot and blowing. Damages Claimed in Divorce. In the divorce case McKay v. McKay
and Campbell, co-respondent, a verdict was given for the petitioner with £2OO damages. The petitioner claimed £IOOO. J'ndge Richmond said this was the first case in New Zealand where damages had been claimed in a divorce suit. A rule Nisi, returnable in five months, was granted for the dissolution of the marriage. Theatrical Success. Dunedin, Dec. 27. An immense audience assembled at the Princess Theatre last n ; ght 'to witness the second representation of “ Jo.” Hundreds were turned away.
