GOVERNMENT MISMANAGEMENT OF HOSPITALS.

[By Teleqeaph.] Naples, Dec. 4 Immense dissatisfaction exists with regard to the apparent efforts of Government to evade its declared policy in the matter of Hospital maintenance. Government says they will give pound for pound at the end of the financial year. The Hospital Committee here bad collected £ISOO, and daring the past sis months disbursed that amount in maintenance. They now demand payment to enable them to expend it on the erection of additional wards, but Government objects to do this and requires the Committee to raise half for maintenance and building fund. Under these circumstances the public decline to subscribe for anything but buildihg purposes. In most of the churches in town and country collections were made for the hospital yesterday, but most meagre offertories were obtained, The Wesleyans declined to give a hospital service, and the English Church in Napier deferred consideration of the proposal.
