SOUTH CANTERBURY TEACHERS INSTITUTE.
The adjourned general meeting of the Institute was held in the Public School. Timaru,'tbis morning. Present —Meters Ligertwood, Dunnett, Easton, Collins, Beechy, Cooke, Thomson, Stewart, Watson, Teats. On the motion of Mr Collins, Mr Yeats was called to the chair. The election of officers for the ensuing year was proceeded with, resulting as follows President, Mr J. Scott, VicePresident, Mr Easton ; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr Ligertwood, Committee, Messrs Dunnett, Hughes, Yeats, Cooke and Mahan. The following were delegated to attend the Teachers’ Conference in Christchurch daring the forthcoming Christmas vacation Messrs Scott, Ward, Hughes, Ligertwood. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the proceedings.
