SALE OF SHOW STOCK.
[By Telegraph.] Christchurch, Nov. 10,. At Messrs Matson and Co.’s sale at TattersaU’s, to-day, there was a large attendance, including buyers from New Plymouth, Patea, Inchdutha, and Invercargill. Most of the few sheep (Lincoln) were bought by Mr Hawker of Wairarapa, at prices up to 9 guineas. Up to 2.20 p.m. the shorthorn bulla were nearly , all sold at prices ranging from about 6 to 100 guineas. The bull Count, by Summerton’s Earl of Brunswick, bred by Mr John Deans was knocked down at 100 guineas to Mr Michael Studholme of Waimate. Messrs Wilkin and Co.’s sale of Tasmanian sheep from the flocks of Messrs Gibson and Toosey, resulted in most lots being sold at fair prices.
