Arrived, last evening—Orient steamer Garonne from Plymouth, (left Sept. 26), via Aden. Egyptian AffairsParis, Nov. 9. The French Chambers were opened to-day. In the course of an address on the occasion, the Premier (M. Duclerc) stated that communications of a friendly character were passing between the English and French Governments on the subject of certain proposals submitted by the British Cabinet for the settlement of affairs in Egypt. Repressing Socialism. M. Duclere has further announced in connection with the present Socialist agitation in France, that Government were determined to firmly repress any internal disorder. Anthony TrollopeLondon, Nov. 9, Anthony Trollope has now recovered from his indisposition, Egypt Dictates. A note has been addressed to the Powers by the Egyptian Government in which it is stated that Anglo-French control in Egypt must bo abolished because it was found that the dual and political character of English and French controllers had the effect of creating trouble in the Government of the country.
