Shipping wheat is weaker at 5s 6d. The market for New Zealand oats is unsteady. Deeding qualities are worth 4s to 4s 2d, and milling ditto 4s 4d to 4s sd. Wool SalesDuring the week Messrs Goldsbrough and Co., have sold 8300 bales at their wool auction. The large attendance of Home and foreign buyers continues, and prices reign very firm. Greasy wools averaged from 8d to 14fd. Several large clips reached from 12d to 14d. Washed wools brought from 14d to 25d. [Received Nov. 8,1882,10.10 p.m ] Electric Light-A-company has been formed here to acquire from Sir Julius Vogel the sole right of using the Brush and the LanePox systems of electric lighting in Victoria. Sir Julius Vogel has'nearly completed the arrangements for illuminating Spencer street railway station by an arc light, and is also making preparations for the installation of incandescent lamps in the Elizabeth street station.
