TIMARU CLUB F. PLEASANT ■ A match between these Clubs took place on Saturday at Pleasant Point. The ground was rough and lumpy, and the game was thereby somewhat interfered with at first, but very respectable scores were made on the whole. In the evShing ! the Point men entertained the visitors; at ,a ; capital spread- The Timaru men in one innings made 109, and the Point Club in two innings made 79, the' Timaru men thus winning" in one innings with 30 runs to spare.
COMBINED F. MARLTON CLUB.
At the return match on Saturday; in the public school ground, the Combined Club won by 37 runs. Musker, McGill, and Stark got double figures, and Fowler made some grand catches; The only tn’omber of the Marlton Club to gain double figures was A. Bourn.
