SUPREME COURTS.

Auckland, Oct. 5. At the criminal session to-day George Grey, charged with cattle stealing, was found guilty, and sentence reserved. John Gordon for unlawfully wounding his wife received two months with hard labor. John Leydon, a well known auctioneer at the Thames, charged with unlawfully wounding, was acquitted. Dunedin, Oct. 5. At the Supreme Court to-day, Albert Edward Morgan, a lad of 16, was found guilty of attempted rape on a girl of six, in the Southern Cemetery. The lad's father stated the boy was scarcely right in his mind, and Judge Williams deferred sentence till he could be examined by the gaol surgeon.
