THE SYDNEY TEAM IN AUCKLAND
A match took place on Saturday! at Auckland between the Sydneyand 1 Auckland teams, . 4000 spectators were present. Enthusiasm was manifested both by the players and the public. ' The N.P.W. men played splendidly, but were overweighted; and, after an exciting contest, the gqme was won by Auckland by a goal and try (seven points) to nothing. The N.S.W. team have won as much admiration by their behaviour as by their play. A banquet followed in the evening, at which the Mayor presided. , i
