An agrarian murder was committed yesterday in the neighborhood of Killarney. No arrests hare yet been made. CommercialConsols are unchanged at 99i . The market rate of discount has been raised i, to 3| per cent. The Bank rate is 4 per cent. New Zealand securities remain at last quotations. Adelaide wheat has further declined6d, and is now worth 48s 6d. New Zealand wheat has fallen Is to 475. Adelaide flour, ex store is unchanged at 345. Australian tallow is without quotable change. England. and BurmahOalootta, August 22. The negotiations which have been proceeding between the Indian and Burmese Government, for the conclusion of a treaty, have now been terminated, and without the desired object having been effected. (Pee Cable to Pbess Association.) [Special to thb Melbouene “Aeous.”] The Leigh Smith Arctic ExpeditionLondon, August 21. Sir Leigh Smith’s Arctic expedition has been landed at Aberdeen all well. The Eira was nipped in the ice in August, 1881, and was subsequently abandoned. After wintering, the party rowed and sailed upwards of a thousand miles to reach Nova Zembla, where they were found and rescued by Sir Allan Youngs search expedition. Arrests in IrelandThirteen arrests have beeen made in Connemara, in connection with the recent murder of a family. The fifth victim of the outrages has since died, but the sixth is recovering. Starved into Surrender. The Pittsburgh colliers have been starved into surrendering, and the strike is at an end. Death of a Sydney CitizenFrancis Fisher, late of Sydney is dead.
