HUNT CLUB STEEPLECHASE.
There was a large attendance of members of the Hunt Club at the Grosvenor last evening, Mr Hamersley being in the chair. It was resolved to bold the meeting on Thursday, 14th September; nominations to close on Friday, 18th August, at 8 p.m. and acceptances on 24th August, at the same hour. The events ares—a Handicap Hunt Club Cup, three miles; Ladies’ Parse, weight for age, two and a half miles; and a Consolation Handicap of 2 miles. Messrs Meiklo and Lindsay were appointed handicappers, Mr M. Studholme judge, Mr A. St. G-. Hamemeley Clerk of the course, Mr Moikle starter, and Mr Mitton clerk of the scales. Messrs Hamersley, Cook, Jefferson, Meikle, and Lindsay were chosen a Committee, and Mr W. St. Lindsay, Hon. Secretary and Treasurer. The rules of the Grand National Club will be adhered to.
