THEATRE ROYAL.
The audience was considerably better at the Theatre last night than on the previous occasion. “ The Young Widow” was played with care, after which came a musical melange, in which Mr Alexander’s singing of “All’s s Well (followed in response to an encore by “We’re a’ John Tamson’s Bairns’*), and Miss Amy Johns’ exquisite rendering of “ Baby Mine ’’ and “ Killarney ’ were highly appreciated. Mr Lissant also sang, and Mr Wilkinson gave a ■tep dance. The comedy,“ My Cousin” was repeated by request, and provoked as much merriment as on the previous evening. This piece is intensely amusing. To-night a change of programme is promised. This company is sure to grow in popular favor, for not only is the acting bright and the actors’ ennunciation good, but the business proceeds without those dreary intervals that so often mar one’s enjoyment, and are a chief promoter of disorders in the pit.
