CRICKET.
AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS AT HOME. [By Cable.] Loudon, July 31. The Australian cricketers commenced a match to-day at Liverpool against the Liverpool Club. The wicket was heavy, owing to the recent rains. The visitors went in first, and their innings closed for a total of 240. The highest scorers were—Giffen, caught, 81; and Palmer, not out for 33. The attendance at the match was very large. August 1. The cricket match between the Australian team and the Liverpool. Club, which was to have been resumed to-day, has been postponed in consequence of the rain.
