THE OAMABU MURDEB QASE. [By Telegraph.] Oamaru, July 21. .The charge of murder against Alexander Beattie is still proceeding. The evidence given to-day is a repetition of that given. at the Coroner’s inquest. Evidence was given which went to account for the blood found on prisoner’s coat, and that it was not there on the 12th June. ’ ‘ A water spout, apparently one thousand feet high and about fifteen feet in diameter, was seen the other day close-to‘Palliaer Bay. " It is said that there is such foul ait l n the reporters’ ga'lety in the Parliament house, Wellington, that it is positively dangerous to life to remain there half ad hour.
