Saunders was brought up on remand charged with embezzling the sum of 10s 6d from his late employer Mr Jacob Young, baker, Timaru. Inspector Fender said there wares number of witnesses to bring forward in this case and it would require some days to get the case ready. Ho would ask for a further remand. The prisoner in reply to the Bench said he had no objection to offer to the application for a remand. His Worship said he would remand the prisoner till Thursday next at il a.m. and in the interim would bear any application for bail. Prisoner said he had no friends that would be likely to go bail for him, so he would hare to remain in custody.
