SUPREME COURTS.
[By Telegraph.] Auckland, July 11. In the Supreme Court' to-day Heteraka was found not guilty of breaking and entering a store at Whangarei, and of uttering a forged cheque. It appeared that prisoner found the cheque and uttered, it, not knowing it was forged. Fred Fairburn, who was charged'with being illegally on premises, and against whom No Bill was found, was discharged. James Edwards, for breaking and entering the house of David Archibald, at Whnu, was sentenced to throe imprisonment. True bills were found against Pakara and Epiba, for shooting with intent; Samuel Rodrigue, sodomy ; and Henry Howard Lewis, for forging and uttering, two counts. No billjwas found against David Johnston, horso stealing, two counts, and Henry Lewis, forgery of an endorsement.
Christchurch, July 11. The Supreme Court was occupied all day with two cases of indecent assault, and two of violent assault. The accused in one of the former was convicted, and the rest acquitted.
