INQUEST ON THE BODY. SUSPICION RESTS ON THE HUSBAND. [By Tblbgbaph.] Pukeubi Junction, July 10. The inquest on the body of Sarah Adams, who was found in a creek near Papakaio on July 2, was commenced at Peebles this afternoon. Evidence, was given of Beattie having, about the time of the woman’s disappearance, left a bloodstained razor with a local hotelkeeper, saying his wife had been cutting fowls’ necks with it, and asking the hotel-keeper to clean it. He had been atthe hotelaboutthe time of the woman’s disappearance, and stayed all night. The hotelkeeper said ho had heard Beattie had gone out of the hotel during the night, but he could not say positively.
