[Rbutee’s Agency,] Explosion. A disastrous’ boiler explosion occurred at the Appollo Stearine Candle Manufactory, Brown’s Hill, to-day. The buildings were seriously damaged, and one man lost his life. ShippingMelbourne, June 6. Sailed, this afternoon —Union Company’s steamship Albion, for the Bluff. Sydney, June 6. Arrived, yesterday evening—Union Company’s steamship Arawata, from Auckland. The ferry steamer Fanlight, 15 tons, ran into and sank the steamer Osprey, 32 tons, off Port Macquarie, in the harbor to-day. The crew of the Osprey were all saved. Miners’ StrikeMr Grighen, Manager of the Agricultural Company’s colliery at Newcastle, has agreed to accept the proposal that arbitrators should be - to effect a settlement of the miners’ strike.
