GERALDINE RACING CLUB.

At a meeting of the above, on Monday evening, Mr Peavpoint in the chair, the following business was done. The financial statement showed that the receipts for the year from all sources were £585 14a 6d ; the expenditure, strictly on racing and expenses connected therewith, £506 16s 7d, leaving a balance to the credit of the Club of £77 17s lid, which sum had since been expended on the new course. Sub scriptions to the amount of about £9O were also owing to the Club at the present lime. Detailed accounts of reecipts and expenditure were laid on the table and distributed to those present.

Resolved—“ That the report and balance-sheet as read bo adopted.” The following new members were duly elected : —Messrs Wm. Kennedy, W. Shiers, W. Gunn, W. Polhill, Wm. Heney, C. Bourn, J. D. Gore, R. L. Bowden, Digby Andrews, R. P. Wells, A. C, Stunning, McLure, J. Cunningham, John Heney, jun.. and J. S. Wilkinson.

The following were elected members of Committee for the ensuing year : Messrs R. H. Pearpoint and D. Denoon (re-elected), Lawson, and J. M. Olivier. Resolved—“ That a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to Mr Postlethwaito for the use of his paddock as a racecourse, and that the secretary be instructed to write to Mr Postlothwaite, enclosing a copy of the above resolution,”

After votes of thanks had, been passed to the Chairman and to the Secretary, the meeting terminated.
