KINGSDOWN SCHOOL CONCERT.

, A concert in aid of the incidental fund was hold in the Schoolroom last evening. Tho visitors who kindly gave their services, wore Misses Smith, Hughes, Inncss, Hclmoro, Muskcr, and Bad don, and Messrs Warrington, Bowie, Smith, Ligcrtwood, Walcot, junr., Orr, and Apland. It would bo invidious in an entertainment of this kind to particularize. One and all acquitted themselves most creditably, encores being demanded in

nearly every instance. Mr Moody occupied the chair, and evidently had a pleasing duty to perform as the audience were most orderly. Miss Raddon ably presided at the piano. The Schoolroom was crowded, every available space being occupied. Mr Craigie proposed and Mr Munro seconded a hearty votj of thanks to those ladies and gentlemen who had so kindly given their assistance, which was carried by acclamation. A vote of thanks to the Chairman, and a similar compliment to Mrs Annis was also carried. The National Anthem, played by Mr Walcot, jun., brought a pleasing evening’s entertainment to a close at 10.30, after which the room was cleared for a dance, which was indulged in till the small hours of the morning. The concert as a whole was a complete success, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
