THE PUBLIC SCHOOL.
Yesterday a quiet, but most pleasing little ceremony was held in the Public School, Timaru. The occasion was Miss Florence Cramond’s leaving the school. The pupils and their teachers presented this young lady with a valuable serviceof plate, and a few appropriate words having been spoken by one of the girls chosen to make the presentation, Miss Cramond feelingly replied, expressing the regret she experienced at having to sever her connection with the pupils amongst whom she had so long labored. This young lady takes with her the unqualified respect, and affectionate regard, of all who have been privileged to know her.
