THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS AT HOME. (By Cable.] London, May 16. The cricket match, Australians v. Oxford University, was resumed to-day at Oxford. The Home team continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 189, as against 363 of the Australians. Shaw contributed the highest score with 78. The University men followed on their second innings, and when the stumps were drawn had put together 119 runs for the loss of four wickets. There was a large attendance at the match, and- the weather was fine. The Australians met with a cordial reception when they went into the field. Their bowling and fielding during the day were excellent, and both elicited much applause.
