THE LATE CALAMITY.
[To the Editor]. Slit, —i most heartily agree with the sentiments expressed by “ Veritas” in his letter of last evening, referring to the criminal neglect of the Timaru Harbor Board, and the awful calamity for which they are morally answerable, and 1 think that, as a step towards redeeming ourselves from the disgrace that has overwhelmed us, an indignation meeting should be convened without delay, and the feelings of the community tested as to whether the Timaru Harborjßoard possesses the confidence of the people in tire district.—l am &c., Anous.
