Smallpox. There is some doubt whether tho disease from which Miss Southern is suffering is smallpox. The doctors are unable as yet to decide whether it is really variola or not.
[The Insurance Frauds. Adelaide, April 19. . In connection with tho insurance frauds, Hicks, who turned Queen’s evidence, has been acquitted. Forsyth, another of the defendants has absconded and his sureties have consequently been estreated.
