TEMUKA ROAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Tuesday, April 4, at the Road Board Office, Temuka. Present —Messrs Talbot (Chairman), Barker, Ensor, Paterson and Austin.
Correspondence was received from Mr Laing Meason re painting of the Opihi bridge ; from Mr Gunn re a road on the north side of the Orari ; from the Levels Road Board agreeing to boar part of the cost of repairing the Opihi bridge; from Mr Totten, Rangitata, complaining of the state of the ford at Lower Rangitata Craek ; from Mr Boyd Thomson complaining of a drain in Vine street.
The Board resolved to strike a rate of 6d in the £.
The following tenders wore aC' cepted :
Contract No, 6—Street formation : 0. Flynn, £26 10s. Contract No. 7—Fencing: R. Latimer, £1 5s 6d per chain. Contract No. B—Shingling; F, Molloy, Is 3d per yard. The Surveyor’s report was road, sundry accounts passed amounting to £203 8s sd, and the mooting terminated,
